Springtime inside a dark church

Garden museum | Flower Display | My Friend's House So, I finally made it to The Garden Museum last week. It’s housed in the church of St Mary’s at the end of Lambeth Bridge. Right at that bit of the river that I never find myself walking along, though it’s lovely with the view of Westminster and lots of people milling past. The building, with modern exhibition spaces by Dow Jones Architects, felt great and was made magical by Rebecca Louise Law’s installation, ‘Roses’ shown above. A curator I spoke to was unsure how long it will be up – the website describes it as ‘ongoing’ – so I guess it will depend on how the flowers age. They look good after a month.

Rebecca’s work is very varied with clients including Sophia Webster, Max Mara, Royal Opera House and Windsor Castle…

Makes you want to plan an upscale wedding doesn’t it? Wonder if Kim and Kanye know about her?

It looks just like an Impressionist painting, lovely and perfect to welcome the Spring in.
