Yes, this is the home of Edwin, a migrant living in the Calais ‘Jungle’, the camp that has just been cleared. This sobering series of photographs of make-shift migrant homes appeared in the Guardian a couple of days ago. awful. what amazes me is that Edwin has still made it a ‘home’ albeit a sand floor and no real walls.
i’m in the process of moving this week and it reinforces a feeling i’ve been having all week.
we have quite a lot of shit we don’t need and harbour a continual seeking for wanting more.
