Gimme a paper cut

Love Rob Ryan and his pretty, witty papery products? Then perhaps we could interest you in these. Papel picardo, or Mexican paper streamers, if your Spanish is a bit rusty. Used to celebrate weddings, birthdays and the Day of the Dead festival, the designs are cut from tissue paper with chisels.

The wedding decoration bunting would be perfect for an outdoor summer do. And yes, I do believe I urgently need a blue paper cut of a skeleton smoking a fag on a bike. If you think you don’t, you’re kidding yourself. Or already dead.

      It’s traditionally done hundreds of sheets at a time with a chisel too! Which sounds strangely brutal.
