Feeling industrial

I live in a Victorian semi and not a vast warehouse thing in East London, but I’ve come over all industrial. It started with one of those monochrome homes I was chatting about, spotting this lamp in the owner’s kitchen looking quite the tough-nut next to some pretty ceramics.

The Fork table lamp has a canvas shade with a steel ring hole detail inspired by tents. Cool. Turns out it’s from Diesel in collaboration with Foscarini. I was aware that such a homewares collection existed, but to be honest hadn’t paid much attention to it. Until now. Behold some more industrialness…

Love those giant Rock standard lamps and the matching chair (designed with Moroso), love the base on the Overdyed occasional table (more Moroso) and that patchwork killim rug, which seems to be just a prop for the shoot. The prices? Not loving quite so much. The Fork table lamp I’ve been imagining owning costs £408. Sigh.

And then, just when I thought I had the measure of the collection, I looked at the textiles and found this…

Awww, pretty. Diesel, you’re so eclectic! I’ve got my eye on you.

If it’s total newness you’re after, you can view the Milan 2011 collection here.

These are totally up my street! If you’d like to prolong your industrial mood check out the castle and gibson website – a place I spend much time looking at sighing.

I have a chest of drawers a bit bigger than this of theirs.

it currently stores the kids toys but i’m desperate to reclaim it for our dining room and get them something cheaper to use and abuse.
