Winter woollens

Should fine knits and winter woollens be something to talk about in interiors? Certainly when it comes to blankets, but how about furniture? Here is the interesting work of designer Claire-Anne O’Brien so you can decide for yourself. Firstly, her knitted stools.

But, what say you to the idea of a jumper for your chairs by the same designer?

Now onto furniture brand Edra’s offerings that are more furry than woolly. This marks the spot where the winter woollens discussion – for me anyway – descends into madness.

Cripes. The next one brings to mind the sofa for gropers that My Friend reported on before, but with more fingers, nay tentacles, making it even more sinister.

I’ll leave you with something easier to imagine working into your home. Paperweights made out of British woollen fabrics and recycled materials by Laura Mirjani, available to order here.

I love the wooly stools, but don’t think they’d last long in our house what with the cat, the twins and my eldest when he has a pair of scissors…

Yes, we have similar weapons around this house that dictate against having anything so unwind-able.
