I find it very hard, I must confess, to keep house plants alive. I have an issue with the fact I have to run things (like watering) to their schedule rather than mine. This is also what stops me from being like the rest of my family, a set of dedicated and creative gardeners. However the two little succulents that Jill bought me when she came to visit I am doing my very best with. In fact I’m being so diligent with watering them and turning them to the sun that I think they may need repotting (is that what you do with succulents?). Luckily I’ve just found a new designer in Margate with a collection of pots painted like you’d paint them yourself if only you had the time.

This Way To The Circus has a huge range of painted pots, lovely notebooks, ceramic mini plants and jewellery, all designed in-house. They even have a range of mini ceramic ‘plants’ that not even I could kill. Cute.
