One month to go

One month from now I’ll be visiting my brother in Tokyo. I’m keen to look around some quirky neighbourhoods, cafes and shops (any tips welcome!) and am making a daily study of Hello Sandwich‘s blog about her creative, crafting life there.

Greenery Day Japan

This is a photo from her report on Greenery Day, a day set aside to celebrate the loveliness of plants and foliage. She also has a downloadable city guide which I’m going to invest in before I go, here.

Ooh how exciting. I’ve never been to Tokyo, my brother lives in New York – so I can give you lots of tips about Manhattan!

The picture is Koishikawa Korakuen Garden in Tokyo. I have just been there at cherry blossom viewing time. You must go to Tokyu Hands department store -I went to the one in Shibuya. Another good place is Kappabashi Dori where they make plastic food and sell tableware to the restaurant trade.
