Nan Goldin commercial photos with very fine colour combos

A torn pink velvet sofa* in an ancient and empty dusty room with massive skirting boards painted grey, looking finished next to peeling lime-coloured walls. Deep burgundy anaglypta wallpaper with a black dado rail interruption all the way up a set of stairs…. I stumbled across this old 2010 lookbook from Melbourne fashion brand Scanlan & Theodore (on Nowness) – shot by artist Nan Goldin no less – and thought, you’ll like it. I like it. It feels very now despite being six years old. I’m especially digging the rose and gold combo that the model is wearing in the howling dog photo.

After watching the documentary film He named me Malala last night it’s with a modicum of shame that I present such a shallow post for you today, so expect some sort of feminist rant about the state of the world for women, sometime soon.

*Ros, I’m talking to you.
