Heavily disappointed by the outcome of the general election?  Thinking about what you can do to change things? Well I have no answers for that sadly.

But I can help you with a bit of friday escapism in the shape of this short film about the disco roller skaters of Central Park – something I’d hoped, but failed, to see when I visited New York last month. Organised by the Central Park Dance Skaters Association, the free open-air roller skating sessions take place to live DJ sets at ‘The Skate Circle’  area of the park – I think mainly on weekends during summer (the website has full events listings). According to my friend it’s rammed full of dudes from the 70’s disco scene. Which sounds awesome, as they say locally. Happy Friday…
