Sim city
You sort of forget that your streets have a lot of furniture on them – post boxes, electricity boxes etc. But you wouldn’t if you were in pockets of Berlin. There, stencil street artist Evol has turned those objects into mini high rise flats. I love this!
Details are fantastic – those satellite dishes. Plus, bits of graffiti that I’m guessing were already on the boxes, now look authentically to scale with the buildings.
I also think the artist’s choice of architecture is just right. This wouldn’t work nearly so well had he turned those boxes into mansions or cottages, out of context with their surrounding streets.
