Living room – arranged and unkempt

I wanted to show you my new two-seater Assembly Room sofa insitu in the living room. But, in the process of shooting it I got caught up in trying to get nice angles of the room. End result – new two-seater sofa barely visible in the image bottom right…

Living room design ideas

A few days later I found the angle. And – extra bargain – in a bid to undo my vanity, thought I’d reveal the living room as it looks at least once every day. Ie a total toy-filled dive.

As motivated by seeing the ever creative – and much more beautifully messy – Lobster and Swan‘s real reveal.

This is still tidier than my house right now. Gosh, I have a lot of work to do. Love the rug in the last photo – where’s that from?

Thanks Lynne, I feel I need to show you it in several stages over a day as this is probably one of the tidy moments. The rug is from Habitat, but I’m not sure they do that one anymore. Rugs are a continual nightmare aren’t they? Unless you have a Rug Company-style budget.

Love the dark colour on your back wall. What brand and colour is it? I’ve been tango-ing with F&B’s hague blue, black blue, railings…. but we just don’t feel right together

ALL the blocks of colour are Farrow & Ball Great White – amazing how different it looks as the light hits it differently isn’t it?

I think My Friend thinks you’re commenting on a different post, due to the way our site organises the comments… This is Castle Gray by Farrow & Ball. It is quite green, but there’s a lot of grey in it to make it sort of dull but warm.
