In my suitcase

I once read an interview with the everyone’s favourite avant garde stylist, Faye Toogood who, before she branched out by herself, was the inhouse stylist for World of Interiors. Apparently she got the job after pitching up to her interview with a suitcase full of stuff that inspired her. A stunt like that would have resulted in a walk of shame outside Conde Nast for me – and maybe you too. But, Ms Toogood is very creative and yes, you know the rest. I’m no stylist, but this struck me as a fun exercise. What would be in my suitcase?

Yes, my suitcase is yellow leather and something I’ve had for as long as I’ve had my stool. When I was 17, nine of my best friends fell over themselves laughing when I appeared at the airport with it ready for our first holiday away together (who’s laughing now…?!).

What’s inside may be much too pedestrian for our Faye, but it does include some stuff I currently like looking at as well as stuff I’ve always liked looking at. If you ask me next month, I bet it’ll look totally different. What would you have in your suitcase?
