Sofa sleaze
Almost nothing overrides my default sofa setting of low, Danish and uncomfortable. But seeing this beauty in a round up of this year’s Milan festival has me all of a shiver.
It’s the New Life sofa by designer Damien Langlois Meurinne for Sé. What a lovely, lozengey shape. Look at the pink velvet.
Langlois Meurinne’s other designs for Sé include chairs called Have Me and Use Me and a sideboard called Surprise Me. (My sideboard is full of old wallpaper, records and a pile of bills – none of which is a surprise to anyone). Any guesses on the name of the sofa then? No, not Spill Tea On Me. No, not Hoover Cat Hair Off Me. Rather more boringly it’s New Life.

Gary Numan’s kitchen?

OK so it may not be the celebrity kitchen you speculate about most (I’m spending my daydreaming hours eating vegan snacks at Morrissey’s breakfast bar if you’re asking) but what would you guess it looks like? The RealEstalker trawls high-end estate agent’s windows to give you a glimpse of more celebrity homes than you […]

Just came across the blog of designer Camille Walala (via Darkroom), whose work and imagery is so upbeat I’m in total awe. Her blog is like a ten-step guide to getting a Positive Mental Attitude. She introduces a post on Palma de Mallorca airport: ‘JUST COMING BACK FROM PALMA DE MAJORQUA. Pure joy to stay stuck […]
