As I post this, Paris interiors event Maison & Objet is kicking off amid a frenzy of instagramming interiors journalists (I’m imagining). Here’s what Matthew Hilton is launching at the event. Glorious simple furniture and – a first for his brand – rugs that you’ll want. The first, just seen, being the favourite.

Just discovered the designer is also publishing an online journal on his website now, full of pictures of trips to Bucharest and Turin, back stories to individual design pieces and bike chat that’s personal, but engaging. It’s nice, that.
