The habit

I do have a will to speak of. I even managed a self-imposed two-month shopping ban lately (okay, it was meant to be six and I broke it with what Mr Hilarous is calling my ‘jungle safari look’). But there are a few things in life that only need three seconds consideration before I’m consuming them. No 1: chocolate digestives – I have a peasant’s palette. No 2: Liberty prints. I blame my Mum who used to buy me lavender-filled Liberty animal keyrings when I was a child.

A new collaboration with one of the coolest shops on the planet – Merci in Paris – was always going to break me. And a nice cushion at £20 is hard to find these days. So with the merest moment’s hesitation, here’s what I bought. Conversely, the cup was £15, which I find expensive for a cup, even a china one.

How many of the McVitie’s do you reckon I consumed after this photo was taken? Now, about that Liberty / Target collaboration…
