Restorative

Drove back from Scotland last night, ending a tour of Glasgow, Mull, Perthshire, Glasgow again.  I feel sad to have left, revived to have been.

Does everyone have a particular type of landscape that stirs them the most? Mine  are the scenes that I learnt early on – sometimes slightly bleak, often with rain. Scenes that I’ve drunk in for a week and that have healed any cracks in my soul. Today, while I get my brain back into the real life, I’ll leave you with a few of them…

1. Highland Cow on Mull
2. Calgary raining
3. Calgary sunshine 2
4. Boat on Mull
5. Big feet | Tobermory
6. Accross to Mull
7. Stone cottage Ulva
8. Wild heather
9. Ulva 1
10. Gate | Dervaig | Mull

Yes, I feel exactly like that about two places near my home town. I can’t put it into words but they feel like me made into a landscape; it’s where I belong.

Shame it’s usually cold, grey and raining. What is THAT saying abot my soul?!

That’s exactly how it feels – ‘me being made into a landscape ‘ – so you have put it into words, really nicely. My soul is also so drenched in grey and rain it’s amazing I’m a fairly upbeat person. x
