Purchases and passes

On our day out at Ardingly, as My Friend said, we got rather too overwhelmed with browsing, chatting and eating cheese toasties to take any proper pictures. But just quickly, here are a few pictures of what I bought, and the one that got away.

ercol quaker chair

Because yes, I finally got my hands on this Ercol chair I’ve been obsessing over for years. Here it is in the hall, with the mirror I’ve just put up, which had been ‘resting’ on the living room floor for 6 months.

60s coffee table

This little table, which I was thinking about for my TV, did not come home with me. By the time I’d thought about it and come back I was too tired to carry it. It’s cute, but the best thing about it would always be hidden from view:

Love the chair. The Vintage Fair weariness is familiar. The item you can’t live without is almost disposable by the time you go back. Perhaps that’s what saves us from buying it all! GG

That wallpaper / mirror / floorboard / chair combination is SO PLEASING!
