I mentioned a while back that I was planning a fence project, well it took place and I owe an almighty thanks – plus possibly some sort of percentage of this house if we ever sell it – to my Dad. He worked non-stop for days on it. I give you before…
And after – the view from my living room.
Apparently there was all manner of nastiness in the earth where the hedge used to be. I’ve planted two roses in its place – which currently look like twigs – plus an evergreen euphorbia (just seen on the left). I’m on the hunt for a scented winter viburnum next. When we bought this place the whole front garden was covered in horrible gravel so it may look earthy to you now, but we’ve come a long way.
