Expensive Mega Trend part II: Lighting. I meant to blog about Areti yonks ago – the design studio, run by two sisters makes beautiful, expensive lighting. It’s beautiful what they do. It’s expensive though. Ok, I won’t be ignorant you can totally see the craftsmanship in the pieces and thus understand why.

Here’s their look whittled down to four products I like especially.

Areti is available to buy from The Conran Shop.

The designers also had their pieces shown in a Kvadrat / Raf Simons collaboration that launched in Milan a few months ago. Here’s how that looked.

Kind of cool as it goes. This light is called Mimosa, which I like because it does look like a Mimosa branch. Literal is good. Kvadrat 2014 | My Friend's House

I’m going to give you a heads up about one more expensive light from another brand, which would fit right into the scheme above if you swapped it in with that vase.

The one in the middle obvs. It’s called Spinning Lamp and is made from marble, so you know, you might have to save a bit. Available from Mint Shop.

Yes pretty expensive but they are just lovely! I think they are expensive because of their uniqueness. I mean we never get to see something like this quite often. Look at the grid lighting, it is simply awesome 🙂
