Big birds

If harping on about birds was a sackable offence we’d be out of jobs round here. Since it’s not, here’s a company I’ve been meaning to blog about since seeing them at Tent / Design Week back in September: Standfast & Barracks, an 80-year-old Lancaster fabric printers. Just check out their birds…

Stick a yellow cushion with that, and we’re back at the major trend (I am trying to push) that is Lilac and Yellow. Or, wait a minute, no need…

Done.

My Friend, you still into dusky pink and – forever a colour I associate with you – coral? Behold this jazzy mash-up of vintage florals and oriental pattern… These kind of prints in the wrong hands? Possibly another Chelsea-ghastly moment. But, right now as I contemplate de-birding my spare room – papered in this – they’re making me pause.

I’ll leave you with a snap of the Standfast & Barracks stand that started all this…
